Welcome to the Proline Junior Olympic Development Program. The J.O.A.D Program of the USArchery Association is for young people between the ages of 8 and 18 years of age. The Proline J.O.A.D club is chartered under the auspices of USArchery and J.O.A.D. We welcome an encourage children under the age of 8 also. Our club's membership is made up of recurve and compound shooters with an emphasis on Olympic Style shooting. Each archer will progress at his her own pace. Some may achieve recognition as Champions but all will enjoy shooting and will build concentration and skill. To attain these goals, responsible adult supervision and coaching will be on hand during all shooting sessions.

I am Guy Gerig. As a USArchery Certified Instructor, I have been involved in the sport of archery since 1976. I have earned many awards and titles over the years. Most notably, I have been a U.S Archery team member for most of the last 20 years. My service to archery includes being on the boards of the Eastern Archery Association, the NY State Archery association and as a prior 2nd Vice President of the USArchery association. We at Proline have recognized a need for an organized archery program for young people in the N.Y. metropolitan area. Proline is providing a tremendous amount of support to make the J.O.A.D club possible.

As a shooter with the Proline program, you will not be required to join any organization or purchase equipment. I believe in a relaxed atmosphere where best to learn our sport while being safe and enjoying the rewards of our practice. While progressing, if competitions are the right track for you, then you'll be required to become a member of the USArchery J.OA.D Program. You will be required to complete a J.O.A.D membership application, a parental consent form, and a USArchery membership application. We will forward all applications and fees to USArchery after we have made copies for club records. Among the membership benefits is the ability to compete for the NYS Archery Championships and also to participate in an achievement award program of certificates and ranks to be earned, which provide young archers with incentive.

Practice sessions will be held at Pro Line Archery Lanes Inc. on Saturday morning from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Please call the range or check this web site for the next J.O.A.D session date.

J.O.A.D information on a national level can be found at here: http://www.usaarcheryjoad.org/p1.html

Remember each archer will enjoy archery and progress rapidly if they receive support and encouragement from home. Archery is a family sport and we'd like the whole family to be involved.
